What follows is a message I channelled from spirit. It is faithfully transcribed from the original recording, in which I invited spirit to 'speak through me' by moving into a deeper state of awareness - a process called channelling.
The power of inspiration is a nebulous thing. It is like joining dots of dust together, making sense of them all as they dance and swirl and find alignment with one another, creating a picture bigger and more pure than you could ever imagine.
It is not something that you can ever fully understand or predict. It is something that you must journey with, go deeper into, like a dance with a snake, never knowing where the head or the tail is going to be at any one moment, trusting that as you weave the magic of this beautiful dance, all will be revealed. All is flowing through you.
Inspiration is an energy; it is not a state. Inspiration is a step that you take each time you want to move closer to the truths of yourself.
Inspiration is a dance that you weave, not for the dance's sake, but purely to better understand where you are, how you are, and where you fit in the world.
Inspiration is not something that you can hold on to. It is something that is constantly coming to you, but the challenge is to see it for what it is, to understand it for its true nature. It is mercurial, it is nebulous.
It flies on the air; it is not to be contained or locked away in a box, or left on the pages of a book. It is to be heard, shared and then forgotten forever, to be drawn and then thrown away into the ethers to see how and where it will continue its journey far beyond your consciousness.
Let it take you to lands and places you have never imagined. Let it challenge you on all levels—mind, body, and spirit. Let it invite you into a new reality every moment that it threatens to touch your shoulder. Yes, "threatens", because there is no security, no safety in inspiration, for there is no foretelling where it will lead you. There is only pure imagination, pure trust, pure surrender, and the pure next step to unfold that will take you somewhere new.
Be brave, and dance with inspiration.
